Candida and Cancer live in the same environment- ACID !
Many people live with an overgrowth of yeast in their gut without knowing it. If you have had several courses of antibiotics and/or chemotherapy, chances are your healthy gut flora has been disturbed and unhealthy ones have taken over. Our modern diet with too much processed food and too little whole raw food makes acid. For more information about this important subject, take a look at the Candida page . A simple DIY test can reveal if you have a problem. Don't live with yeast in your gut ! Infants could be malnourished from the commercially-prepared baby foods they are given. Most of the popular brands contain less than a fifth of the recommended daily requirement of calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron and other minerals. ( These are critical !)
Not that the mother would ever know: the manufacturers are not legally required to disclose the micronutrient levels of the food in the jar.( Incredible !) Researchers from the University of Greenwich School of Science analysed eight different sample jars produced by four of the bigger manufacturers, made up of four meat and four vegetable varieties. Even when the meals were ‘topped up’ with 600ml of formula milk, the infant was not getting enough calcium, magnesium, copper and selenium. On average, the levels were 20 per cent below the recommended daily intake for an infant. The researchers are calling on manufacturers to improve the quality of food we give our babies – and on governments to tighten controls on the food information given to the public. I love my doggies and regard their diet as being as important as my own. I am currently researching food from Lilyskitchen in the hope I can recommend it to friends and patients instead of the slush, rubbish and dried food commonly fed. The rise in animal cancer is alarming ! GO NATURAL !! There is no doubt about the health-protective effect of a natural diet rich in flavonoids to protect against a wide range of diseases including heart disease, hypertension, some cancers, and dementia. However, researchers from Harvard University and the University of East Anglia have published the result of a study in the journalNeurologythat demonstrates how these plant-based phytonutrients can significantly lower the risk of developing Parkinson's disease, especially in men. (Let's face it - men often eat far less fruit than women, so no surprise here then !)
Flavonoids from healthy foods such as berries, tea, apples, and red wine cross the delicate blood-brain barrier to protect neurons against neurologic diseases such as Parkinson's. This large scale study included more than 130,000 men and women participants that were followed for a period of twenty years. During this time, more than 800 individuals developed Parkinson's. Detailed analysis of their diets and adjusting for age and lifestyle, male participants who ate the most flavonoids were shown to be forty percent less likely to develop the disease than those who ate the least. Participants consuming one or more portions of berry fruits each week were around twenty-five percent less likely to develop Parkinson's disease, relative to those who did not eat berry fruits. Flavonoids are the bioactive, naturally occurring chemical compounds found in many plant-based foods and drinks. Juice Plus really has a brilliant answer to the problem of how to eat enough fresh, raw ripe fruits and berries. Vineyard blend has 9 berries ! The complete range has 26 !! When did you eat enough ? for more info on this amazing natural fruit supplement please see my separate juice plus page. Wow ! Just found some amazing natural supplement for Lymes disease. So exciting. Lymes is SO difficult. Antibiotics are NOT the answer. Ticks are very common in the west country and Lyme's disease is not uncommon.
The arthritis workshop I did with Chiropractor Fran Hardiman in March was a great success. A full house.
Fran covered the physical aspects of arthritis while I gave a short power point on the affect of modern food, and how an anti- inflammatory diet is key to reducing the painful symptoms of arthritis and also the best way to help prevent it. We had to limit the numbers, so watch this space for a date for a repeat performance ! Stress. We all take it for granted as part of life.
We laugh about it as if it were nothing to worry about. However, I am seeing more and more clients whose health is being seriously affected by constant nagging events in their lives which are exhausting the very system which was designed to protect them. Adrenal exhaustion is no laughing matter ! There is no doubt in my mind stess IS a killer. Our adrenal system was intended to spring in to action to protect us from a foe/lion or other dangerous predicament which was immediately threatening our life. Unfortunately modern life presents many stressful events on a regular basis and far more frequently than the system was designed to cope with. A demanding job, an unhappy marriage, divorce, financial worries, abuse, etc., etc, the list could go on. If stress persists long term, eventually the adrenal system becomes exhausted and a whole host of problems associated with other organs begins. It is a downward spiral towards worsening health and one which left unattended, will never resolve by itself. Our modern diet does little to help prevent this. I frequently see patients who are deficient in the key nutrients such as anti oxidants, vitamins B, C and D required to support the nervous system. The good news is - adrenal exhaustion can be corrected with nutritional therapy. Having said that, everyone needs to look at their life style and do something to reduce their stress. We all have TIME. It is up to us how we organise and prioritise our day. Obviously bereavement and divorce or similar are beyond our control, but rushing around chasing deadlines, tolerating situations just because it seems easier than sorting them out is foolish and damaging. Don't let stress ruin your health. It doesn't have to ! because your health matters This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar.
